More RSS Marketing
What is board savvy marketers can take RSS? We continue with the “best of” in the marketing of RSS marketing leaders in the U.S..
1. WHY marketers and publishers to begin to consider using RSS anyway? Answered by Bill FLY, Pheedo
I will give you 7 reasons:
1. Sender ID 2nd CAN SPAM Act 3. Blacklists 4th Known Sender 5th E-mail filters 6th Bonded Sender Program 7th The cost of sending e-mail
These seven points are the result of SPAM. The papers represent an effort was launched to stop spam, but it is still a major problem. I think that RSS will be around whether SPAM exterminated. RSS has some advantages over e-mail marketing, including:
1. 100% opt-in – do not worry about legal threats to consumers.
2nd One click unsubscribe – RSS raise the bar. Marketing needs to think about what your shipment before it reaches the ENTER key. I think this is a good thing. There is no free ride with RSS. Consumers demand control (no-call list, CAN SPAM Act, privacy statements, etc.) and RSS is governing.
3rd 100% delivery rate – if I send information or advertisements in the feed, it reaches the recipient. This is less a technical hiccup. Do not worry about spam filters, black lists, is Sender ID, etc. My biggest concern now unless I publish relevant content when my customers want.
2nd What do you think is the best business problems now use RSS? Answered by Bill FLY, Pheedo
1. External communication: Create an RSS feed on your site. If you publish a newsletter and create a source of this information is easy. It requires little effort. I strongly recommend this method if you are in the technology sector.
2nd Internal communication: With the RSS (the blog) to collaborate on a project within the company is more efficient than e-mail. The Blog of project files, while the RSS keeps everyone informed.
3rd Advertising: If the spam problem is not resolved soon, retailers will be the RSS as a means to reach new customers. RSS has two completely different e-mail – One-click unsubscribe and 100% opt-in. E-mail can not say that emphatically. RSS puts the control in the hands of publishers and consumers. There will be a more effective marketing channel because the market demand that publishers are more aware of the amount and relevance of ads in the feed. Consumers acting as a filter. If the noise to value ration is out of control, consumers will vote with their mice.
3rd RSS HOW can use these offers affiliate program? Answered by Shawn Collins, Shawn Collins Consulting
My views on the usefulness of RSS is a form a form of communication – to share updates, news and tools with participants in an environment without censorship, since email has become too difficult with all the spam and other nuisances different.
4th One of the questions begin to make ourselves COMPLETELY RSS is being integrated into our marketing and communications MIX. How does RSS REGARDING OTHER tools and methods COMUNICACIONAL? Answered by Jim Gray, Quikonnex
You hit the nail on the head with this issue. It is about integrating new technologies into the marketing mix.
RSS / Blogs / E / chat is a tool that companies can use to communicate with your customers. People in transition to the Internet in new technologies, leaving the old system. . . This is wrong.
If you have not noticed, it is likely to get postcards and package information of some well-known online retailers as Armand Morin, Corey Rudl. Note traditional mail, as part of their marketing. RSS should be considered the same.
Right now, RSS feeds, blogs and search engines are hot, so a website owner should have one. . . period. But using only would be a mistake. The ideal mix is to use an RSS feed for one to many communications via email and one to one customer.
