Spam is a monster
I received 5000 e-mail containing spam every day. Well, maybe not many, but it is close to that figure. Spam is out of control and shows no signs of stopping. The question is, if the spam comes from, and can do something about it?
Spam I receive in my inbox is sexually explicit, but I like to watch, because some of this waste is quite entertaining. My personal favorites are the commandments Sales Canadian Viagra ads are pornographic sites, and the false work from home programs.
How do these people get their hands dirty in your e-mail address? One way you can get is through opt-in e-mail. At last, something on the Internet, as part of subscription or service you’re registered, you may accidentally have agreed to receive email offers from this company for the future.
As a result, the company said it is added to their mailing list and start sending e-mail. This is perfectly legal as long as it offers you a way to unsubscribe from your mailing list. If you do not provide a way to unsubscribe send an e-mail messages that are considered spam.
To make matters worse, a spammer will sell your email address and other information that they have hundreds or thousands of other companies looking for potential customers. Before you know it, your e-mail has been distributed everywhere. When this happens, there is almost no way to prevent spam from reaching your inbox.
Another common form of e-mail address can result in a mailing list is for the purchase of an Internet list of email addresses from someone and then sending a joke or an interesting design for everyone on the list, and asked to forward along all your friends and family.
When the message is sent, the email an attached program that will copy the entire list of addresses that the message has been sent to this list and send to the person who sent the email. So now this person not only has his email address, but also have e-mail address to everyone who sent the message.
Another popular method is called harvesting. This is accomplished by writing a simple program of recovery for each site that appears in a search for a specific keyword and grab any case, e-mail addresses posted on websites and was then sent back to the combine harvester. With this technique, you can buy thousands of email addresses in an hour or less.
The collection has become a legal dilemma. The Community of email marketing think that they should be allowed to collect email addresses posted on public Web sites. In his view, that if someone has posted his email address for all see, when other people are entitled to contact that person and ask questions or send you offers.
But the sites that published e-mail addresses, has threatened legal action against the person who harvests email addresses from your website and use them to build spam lists. Unfortunately, these sites have no way of preventing this, and will only get worse in the future.
We will never stop spam altogether. Both large and small companies have a strong incentive to send bulk e-mail, since it costs nothing, and is a valuable tool to increase their customer base. Send e-mail or hire a telemarketer is costly and highly inefficient. As a result, most companies prefer to send large amounts of email. So expect your inbox to be full of spam for many years to come.
