Security researchers have investigated Stuxnet, a sophisticated computer virus created by the theft of trade secrets, show that has presided over a much longer period than was earlier thought. No one knew much about the malicious program until mid-July 2010, when the researchers in Minsk, Belarus (Eastern Europe) based security firm VirusBlockAda detected. The virus is selected in the advanced technology and the computers used for targeting industrial control power plants and factories. Now security researchers from Symantec Corp. claim they have detected a previous version of Stuxnet, held in June 2009 and subsequently developed a more sophisticated H1-2010th On the other hand, when the building was completed Stuxnet includes the creator of new programs, helping to reproduce in the middle of the USB devices without interaction from the victim. In addition, the author even managed to grab Stuxnet encryption keys JMicron Technology Corp., Realtek Semiconductor Corp., owned by large corporations. With these keys, the malicious code can be digitally signed, which made it harder for antivirus engines to detect. In Liam O Murchu, security researcher with Symantec malware had been under continuous development, the authors introduced additional feats, and encryption components. InformationWeek published this in the News August 5, 2010. One of the most fascinating discoveries is that the latest Symantec version Stuxnet is small compared to the first that despite the recent sample properties has increased. According to O Murchu, threats tend to get larger over time, so the fact that the latest version includes additional resources (14-11) are not uncommon. However, it is surprising Stuxnet later in smaller sizes than before, “he adds. While security researchers in their speeches, many years that these attacks are directed. Stuxnet development tracks the presence of light, if not the intention of the apparent success of the virus. Therefore, Web surfers maintain caution in connection with activities related to harmful malware and display all programs and all the important safety programs to avert the threat.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a professional services firm, has found that 61% of large companies increased by an attempt to infiltrate their IT systems, and this growing trend is costing about ten million pounds per year business in Britain, according to Reuters April 27, 2010 . Large firms are faced with 45 incidents per year on average. Two years ago the number of incidents was 15. It is expected that this upward trend will refer to companies in the country that they may have to face penalties of almost 500 000 pounds of any breach of the Data Protection Act. The famous Conficker mask, believed to have infected more than 7 million systems worldwide, has been a major concern for businesses in 2009, was among the infected computer system in the House and the Ministry of Defence. PwC found that approximately 92% of large companies surveyed in the United Kingdom met with some form of information security incidents in 2009. These events include accidental leakage of confidential information and attack by cybercriminals, according to data from FT. com April 28, 2010. The costs for dealing with such incidents is increasing rapidly. On average, to deal with the worst, it costs between £ 280,000 and £ 690,000. In 2008, the cost to remedy the £ 90,000 to £ 170,000 According to Chris Potter, one of the authors of the report and partner at PwC, many of the arguments raised in the election campaign back on the development of six billion pounds spending in the economy, but more than £ 10 billion spent on dealing with computer crime, according to news published by the Financial Times. com April 28, 2010. PwC estimates, nearly 34% of UK companies rely on external hosting bad software solutions available on the Internet. Only 17% of companies use cloud computing services is to protect their data using encryption. According to research in the coming years, the conventional view of data security will not be sufficient due to the increasing threat landscape. Instead, companies would be required to realize the importance of a broader strategy that can provide a competitive advantage and differentiation. For companies that refuse to adapt to things like the cost of supplier and market share losses, the cost of inaction will increase with time.
